Board of Commissioners Rolls Back Millage Rate for 9th Consecutive Year
For the ninth year in a row, the Bryan County Board of Commissioners has approved a rollback of the property tax millage rate. The adopted millage rate for 2025 is 5.770 mills, a continued decrease from 9.185 mills in 2016.
This stability is made possible in part by funds from SPLOST (Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax) and TSPLOST (Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax). These voter-approved initiatives allow the County to invest in roads, public safety, and community projects — all while keeping the property tax burden lower for residents.
