Fiscal Impact Report: Proposed Richmond Hill Airport

The Development Authority of Bryan County commissioned a 20-year fiscal impact analysis of the proposed Richmond Hill Airport. The study, conducted by Economic Impact Group, LLC, examined the effects on Bryan County, the Bryan County School Board, and the City of Richmond Hill.

Key findings include:

  • An estimated $183 million total investment in land, infrastructure, and facilities.

  • The airport is expected to house about 180 private aircraft, adding roughly $90 million in taxable value.

  • Projected new revenue from property taxes on airport facilities and aircraft.

  • Additional tax revenue from the sale of 10,000 gallons of jet fuel per month.

Overall, the proposed airport is projected to generate more than $35 million in combined net benefits for the community over the next two decades.
