Renewals will open Mid-October
Renewing online is now the FASTEST and most efficient way to renew your license! Review the steps below and, when ready, enter the portal by clicking the button to begin the process.
Don't Forget! In addition to renewing your local county license, you must also renew your state license through the Georgia Department of Revenue. For questions regarding state licensing, visit the State of Georgia Department of Revenue website.
Things to know before you begin:
All Alcohol Licenses expire on December 31st of each year. Applications for renewal should be initiated before the second week of December, in order to ensure timely processing. Applications submitted after January 31st are not eligible for renewal, and a new application will be required.
- Step 1: Complete/Gather All Required Documents -
- Incorporation Documents - Licenses being renewed under the name of a business legal entity (partnerships, limited liability companies, domestic/foreign corporations) will have to provide a copy of their incorporation documents (by-laws, operating agreement, etc.) listing all members/officers/partners.
- Personal Statement of Facts - Named licensees, along with all members/officers/partners of an LLC, partnership, or corporation having alcohol sales as its principal business, must complete the Personal Statement of Facts form.
- Criminal History Consent Forms - Named licensees, along with all members/officers/partners of an LLC, partnership, or corporation having alcohol sales as its principal business, must complete and submit a Criminal History Consent form.
- Affidavit Verifying Citizenship Status - Named licensees, along with all members/officers/partners of an LLC, partnership, or corporation having alcohol sales as its principal business, must complete and submit an Affidavit Verifying Citizenship Status.
- Copy of an unexpired Government issued I.D. - Named licensees, along with all members/officers/partners of an LLC, partnership, or corporation having alcohol sales as its principal business, must provide a copy of an unexpired government issued I.D.
- Local Registered Agent Consent Form - All licensed establishments must have and continuously maintain a local registered agent that resides in Bryan County. This form only needs to be completed if the local registered agent is someone other than the named licensee.
- Step 2: Login/Gain Access to Portal - If you are renewing a license, an account has already been created for you. If your email address was previously provided, you should be able to access your account by selecting "Login" and entering your email address. If your email is not found, contact us so we can update your contact information.
- Step 3: Complete Background Check - Fingerprinting/background checks will be required for all named licensees, along with all members/officers/partners of an LLC, partnership, or corporation having alcohol sales as its principal business. Within 2-3 business days of submitting your renewal application, you will receive an invoice for a $65 non-refundable investigative fee (per person) which must be paid prior to referring you to fingerprinting agency. Once paid, you will receive a follow-up email with specific instructions for completing the background check. Results from a background check are usually available within one week of being fingerprinted. Persons holding a license for more than one establishment in Unincorporated Bryan County, will only pay one investigative fee.
- Step 4: Pay Annual License Fees Online - Once your renewal application is completed and your license renewal has been processed, you will receive an emailed invoice with instructions to pay your annual license fee. Do not send payment for fees until after you receive an invoice from our office.
