The mission of Bryan County Emergency Management Agency (BEMA) is to keep people safe, protect property, and support the well-being of all of Bryan County. As a coastal state, Georgia is at risk for hurricanes that form in the Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea, and Gulf of Mexico. These storms can cause catastrophic damage hundreds of miles inland. Every resident should understand their risk and plan ahead for a potential evacuation.
