The Bryan County Assessors' Office locates, inventories, and sets values for all taxable property within Bryan County. The Board of Assessors is appointed and charged by law with the responsibility of independent oversight and preparation of the annual local property assessments. 

Assessment Notices were mailed on 06/12/26 and the last day for filing an appeal will be on 07/27/26. All appeals must be made in writing on the proper form. You may return appeal forms by mail or in person at one of our offices.

We will not accept any appeals sent in via e-mail or fax.

All appeals must be submitted in writing using the appropriate appeal form. Completed forms may be delivered in person or mailed to either our Pembroke or Richmond Hill office. Appeals submitted by email or fax will not be accepted.

                                                                                                 To be considered timely, appeals must be be received by our office no later than 5:00 p.m. on July 27th. Please note that mailed appeals must be physically received by the deadline. A postmark date will not be accepted as proof of timely filing; the appeal must be received in our office by the deadline. Any appeal received after July 27 will be considered late and will not be accepted.

It is important to note that the Assessors' Office does not set the tax rate, nor are we involved in any way with collecting taxes. The primary function of the Assessors' Office is to value property in a fair and uniform manner.

The Tax Assessors office is currently evaluating measurements on

new construction sites with building permits.
